| divorce papers arrived! Emotional roller coaster ride again! |
| Just received my divorce papers! They say divorce/anullment on them instead of just divorce. My divorce is happening in PA. Does anyone know why they would say divorce/anullment instead of just divorce? My future x really is in a hurry to get these papers finalized. He actually had his lawyer put a 20 day limit on when I need to respond, nice guy! He only hit me with this a month ago. Need some advice on how to get over the emotional dependency I have with him and the loneliness. Both daughters are pretty much on their own and I am living in my home in the country all by myself with my little dependable dog Skip. I really need some help in trying not to think of him with someone else it is really becoming a problem. Looking for help to move on!!! |

Robin Pa allows annulments as well as divorces and the title of the papers really do not matter a this point. What matters is that you have been served with these papers and you have 20 days to answer the complaint. If you do not obtain a lawyer to represent you , you may lose what you are entitled to in the divorce.
It doesn't matter who is with, or what he is doing. What matters is that you call a lawyer and get going to file the answer in a timely manner. If you chose to sit and do nothing you may not have your little house in the country for you or Skip.
This is your life and your future so you have to be proactive and get up and call a lawyer if you have not done so yet. Also find a good therapist to help you get through these hard times to help you prioritize what is important here your own well being.
You will have plenty of time to think about other stuff after the divorce. Me personally I would be fighting mad that I got papers before the holiday and only 20 days to file my answer. This would motivate me to fight for me with all I have within me. This is what you must do now THINK ABOUT YOU AND YOUR FUTURE!!!
There are no do overs in these types of situations so get up and what you gotta do!!!!! Hope this helps. |
